So you think all JRT's are active and never calm down, eh? Well do I have a story for you!
I have a two year old JRT named Elmo who is the first dog I have ever owned. I have to tell you, he's the greatest dog that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He's lovable, friendly, and best of all, obedient. But, he's lazy!
When I let him in the backyard to run around a bit or just because I don't have time to take him for a walk, I expect him to be chasing squirrels or something. Instead, what he does, is fall! He falls on his side on the grass and falls asleep! I find this to be extremely weird considering all the stories I heard about JRT's being active and all! Oh well, I guess a dog truly is like his master!!
