My Jack Russell Story:
We used to own a dachshund called Milly, but unfortunately she died, leaving our family extremely depressed. We vowed that we would never get another dog, because nothing could ever replace her. However, a friend who worked for an animal protection scheme, arrived at our house bearing the smallest , skinniest , shakiest, most sorrowful little pile of bones you had ever seen. Penny the JRT had been maltreated , kept with two other much bigger dogs, who bullied her and ate all her food. Her owner said she simply couldn't cope with her anymore.
She was a sorry sight and their was no way in the world that we could not keep her. So we did, and she has provided us with endless amusement ever since.
