I have a seven year old Jack Russell Terrier. Last spring, I was hungry, so I decided to have a hamburger. I was unwrapping the already cooked burger, and it fell out of my hands. My Jack Russell, Magpie, grabbed it. I ran around, trying to get it from her. Finally, I cornered her. She knew that I was going to take away the burger, so not thinking, she swallowed it, WHOLE!! The next thing I knew, she was lying on her back, and her eyes were rolling back in her head. I was so scared! I immediately grabbed her, and gave her the Heimlich Maneuver. It worked! She coughed up the large burger, and I threw it away. I was very happy that my favorite dog was okay!
