My Jack Russell Story:
I am a 44 year old woman with Multiple Sclerosis. I have had many dogs in my life but got my first Jack Russell two years ago. I am ambulatory but must do physical therapy on a daily basis to stay that way. Well, before I got Haylee, that's her name, I would skip a day here and there and consequently pay for it for the next week or so. Since I have had Haylee, there is no skipping anything anymore. Each day she insists that we get down on the floor and play for at least 20 minutes, That is exercise in itself for me. Then in the afternoon we must go for a walk, whether it is just around the yard or around the block. She goes as slow or as fast as I am capable of doing and she seems to be able to sense what kind of day I am having. Evening time we must repeat the floor exercises, then it is off to bed. She is wonderful and been a great help to me. After having Haylee for just 6 months, I went to my neurologist and after he examined me, he said, "I don't know what you're doing different but whatever it is, keep it up". She is the joy of my life and makes my life much more active. Don't know where I would be without her.
