My Jack Russell Story:
I have loved Jack Russell Terriers since the first time I met one, 6 years ago, when I was 4 years old. Ever since that day, I begged my parents to let me have a Jack Russell puppy. Everytime I saw the Jack Russells at the horse shows, I would fall more in love with them. My mom said that we really could not have a house dog because I might not be responsible enough for such a demanding dog. Then one day, last year, my mom and dad took me to a big farm. She said it was to buy a new saddle.
When we walked into the barn, I noticed a stall with 9 very tiny Jack Russell puppies playing in the clean straw. My mom told me to pick one. I thought I was dreaming. That is when I saw Lily. She was 7 weeks old and the smallest puppy of the bunch. She was looked right at me and barked. She is tri-colored and has a smooth coat. When I picked her up in my arms, I knew that she was the one I wanted. She has grown into a beautiful dog. She loves to play fetch with her ball, run and run in the fields, and bark at cantering horses. She really loves to cuddle in bed. Lily is proof that dreams come true.
