When considering purchasing a puppy on-line please read this carefully.

Beware of Puppy Scams

Buyer Beware

Be sure that the seller provides a name and physical address and verify that they do exist and are reputable breeders. Ask for the names, pedigrees and photos of the puppy's sire and dam. DO NOT SEND MONEY without proper verification and a solid sales contract. Ask for references and check them out.

Puppy Scam Red Flags

  1. No name, physical address or phone listed on site or provided when asked;
  2. "Jack Russell" may be spelled wrong;
  3. Photos/names of puppies available could be found on more than one similar site;
  4. Visitation to the kennel is not an option - everything must be done by electronic transfer of funds;
  5. Insisting on all money up front and repeated requests for additional "surprise" fees;
  6. Refusal of some information and/or videos or photos of puppy and parents;
  7. Promise on site of "fast shipping" within hours or days. Beware of bogus positive reviews on site.

We have had many calls from potential buyers who have lost significant amounts of money only to find out there is no puppy and it is a complete scam. Do your homework, protect yourself, and be sure you are dealing with a reputable breeder.

If you would like to check to see if any seller is a member of the JRTCA please contact us, we will verify that information for you.
